Re: meetings

I would like to call another short, 20 minute meeting
but before we start let’s spend the next 5 minutes finding suitable seating
10 minutes organising 3 coffees 1 tea
another 10 waiting for the boardroom to become free
as the last short meeting is running long on time
because everyone gives their two cents and no-one gives a dime
that we have a long and serious agenda to get through
so let’s just discuss the first point and email the rest through
but before we begin let’s hear the minutes being read
because there’s nothing more interesting than repeating what’s already been said
except maybe writing on flip charts that will never get used
drinking the entire jug of water and then asking to be excused
to relieve yourself
of sheer boredom and terminal frustration
