I know what you mean Nick. When you've just done this amazing design for someone and you know that it's gonna make people look, and they get back to you with a ' O no, we actually just want something really boring' It rattles my chains and makes me think, what's the point. But you gotta remember those times when you did something which made your clients go 'WOW!'
That's what keeps me going, when the majority of people are just not on the same wave length.

I have had it with editors. Am gonna take a break from writing until I am refreshed and ready to have more marrow sucked out of me.
