Hi Madeline - of course! It's open to anyone. Would be great to have some out-of-towners there. It's a good opportunity to network with freelancers from the other side of the country - a chance perhaps to have a 'Cape Town/JHB' branch if you get clients who need national support...

Hey, is this unconference also open to Joburg Flying Solo members? I need a good excuse to visit CT and would love to get together with the Flying Solo community again!

Thanks for the reply, I will certainly diarise 9 May. Hagen, since 9 May is just around the corner, I suggest we wait till then but I like your thinking, my thoughts exactly! So no need to wait six months to set up the next get-together. Let's talk further on the 9th.

How about we don't wait until somebody does a nice new unconverence for us and get together just for the fun of hanging around with likeminded people? Does anybody know a pub or other venue were we can just get together and down a few dinks? I am half way from the platte land so I don't come to the big city that often, but for such an event I would make an exeption. What would be the best time and place for you? Anybody interested?
